Anais Coromoto Rodriguez Hernandez, 25, was paid 4,700 british pounds by a childless couple who wanted to adopt her newborn daughter according to the Sun.
She told police she needed the cash to pay for medical costs after a caesarean birth.She was caught when her own parents reported her to the police.
SuspectsPolice confirmed the money was paid into her bank account by 48-year-old Antonio Carrillo, a relative of the childless couple.
Officers went to Maracaibo, around 315 miles away, where they apprehended Carrillo and the couple, identified as Miguel Angel Balboa Vallejo, 44, from Spain, and his 42-year-old wife Auris del Valle Guillen Sencial.
The baby, now nine days old, has been DNA tested to confirm Anais is her mum. She will be taken into care while the investigation continues.
