BRAVE Simon Binner and his smiling wife hold hands as they spend their last evening together before his assisted suicide today at a Swiss clinic.
Wheelchair-bound dad-of-three Simon, 57, and ex-Sky News presenter Debbie were joined by friends for the poignant wander around the picturesque city of Basel.
The couple, who have been married 14-years, shared a joke as they crossed an ancient bridge where sweethearts traditionally leave a padlock to symbolise their love.
Friends of the couple described them as “incredibly strong.”
He will be helped to die with a cocktail of drugs today at the Eternal Spirit clinic, which is similar to the more famous Dignitas clinic.
