Open distance learning University students slump at exam centre

Eight open distance learning students of the University of Ibadan slumped yesterday at the Adebayo Akande E-Centre in Ibadan after waiting to write the GES 101 exam.

The Center

It is reported that over 3000 students came for the exam which was scheduled to start at 8am.Some of the students came from as fa as ivory coast, however it was quite disappointing when the exams hadn't even started six hours later.

Students began to slump one after the other under the scorching sun.The students who slumped were rushed to Jaja clinic within the University premises .A lot of students blamed management on poor coordination.

It would be recalled that sometime in August this year,a similar situation occurred where a student's life was lost .I would appeal with the University management to learn tactics on managing crowd control. That honestly will go a long way!
