It has been described as one of the worse ever tragedies to occur during the holy pilgrimage.
Several others were injured in the tragedy which is the second this year.The Saudi civil defence service stated the incident occured during the symbolic stoning of the devil ritual.At least hundreds of people were also injured during the stampede.
